I have been involved in the animal care business professionally for 37 years.I worked in a kennel when I was 12 years old and I groomed the neighborhood pets, usually without the owners knowledge. No one ever complained so I started charging a small fee and groomed on my dads workbench in the garage. I started grooming in a shop when I was 15 years old. I opened my first shop at 19 and called it the Shampoodle. After 3 years I relocated and sold my shop and reopened in Carlsbad California under the name of Becky's Dog House. I sold when I was 23 years old and relocated to Cameron Park. I took about 6 months off and I built a house. I opened my first shop in this area on Cottage Ln in Cameron Park. It was call Cameron Park grooming. After a couple of years I moved the shop to Cameron Oaks shoping center and also included A full service pet shop. Later I opened a kennel and grooming parlour at 3381 Durock Rd called Becky's Pet Hotel. After 4 years I bought 1 acre at 3800 Durock Rd and built a boarding and grooming parlour.I have been at this location ever since.

Hi my name is Melissa. I started in the kennel in August of 1994. Becky started having me bathe dogs in 1996.Then slowly over a period of time she started teaching me to groom. I found that I really loved grooming and working with the dogs. I feel very lucky to work beside Becky and the rest of the crew whom I consider to be my family.

Hi my name is Cable. I am Beckys son. I have been working in the groom room for a few years and I have learned so much. I'm 19 and I have been working hear since I was 12. I started in the Kennel. I play music with the only other guy that works here, Cody.
Sandi(Kennel Manager)
I Started working at Becky's Pet Hotel as a kennel worker Feb. of 2000. I fell in love with all the dogs and learned so much from Becky about dog behavior and over all pet cair.With an experienced tutor and alot of hard work I became kennel manager in Oct. 1, 2000. I've had the great fortune to be given the opportunity to be a part of your dogs lives. They are my extended family. I love my job!

Hi my name is Ali. I am Beckys daughter. My friends call me AliKat. I'm a kennel girl, I help bathe dogs, and I helped design this web page. I love working in the Kennel. I would rather work with dogs than people because dogs don't judge and I get along with dogs and cats better. I love my job!! :)
