Rico Gloves Fun Facts and New Products !
Rico Gloves Fun Facts and New Products !
1. When was the first Rico Glove made?
July 19th, 2010 the first Rico Glove was made in our factory.
2. How many Professional Players use Rico gloves?
The answer to that question is always changing. This year alone we added another 20 Pro players.
The answer is we are adding more by the day so it’s a lot. We have made gloves for current and former MLB players Kendrys Morales, Miguel Montero, Bobby Abreu, Mike Piazza, Bobby Dernier, Frank White, Brett Merriman, and MLB coaches Mike Butcher, Eddie Rodriguez. I am probably missing a few.
We will post the whole pro list soon.
3. Who was the first pro player to use a Rico Glove in a game?
The answer to that question is a pro player named Jimmy Mojica.
He has played in the minors 6 years and played in the Seattle and Milwaukee MLB organizations.
He represents our brand well and we will always have Jimmy using our Rico gloves.
We are loyal to our pro players that we have.
3. What sets Rico Gloves apart from the other big brands?
A lot of things set Rico apart. Good customer service. A very high quality glove that can be customized as much or more than any custom glove in the market. Our price sets us apart too. We have a very high quality steer hide leather glove that can be customized for 215 dollars to 225 dollars. For the leather quality/customization 225 dollars is a great price for this type of higher end custom glove. Other big brands want 300-400 dollars for a custom glove. We give you a great glove customized for 225 dollars. (without risking quality). Another thing that sets us apart is our unique Rico logos and name. We have a name that means Rich or High Quality. Our Rico gloves don’t look like every other brand.
4. Any new gloves or products on the horizon at Rico Gloves?
Yes, we have a lot of new things coming out soon. We are going to be doing a Youth Rico Glove that has a strap on it. It is something we need to better fit our youth players. It will be a leather strap and will be adjustable to better fit the smaller hands of a youth player. Also, we will be doing a KIP leather glove. Kip Leather is lighter in weight and has the same strength as steer hide leather. The Kip leather gloves will be called the Rico Star Custom Kip series. We haven’t decided on price point yet. We will also be working on a Rico Mesh Glove available in Kip or Steer hide leather. Please keep checking in with us for our new Rico products.
